Been coming here since late 90s. A little sketchy parking lot, make sure u park as close to the restaurant as possible and avoid eye contacts with people loitering around. We like the foods like honey walnuts shrimp, fish and tofu pot and their steamed char siu bao. They have one of the best chili oils as condiments, make sure put a big chunk of it on your chat siu bao.

Our family have been going here for decades. We always have our big parties here. These are some of the special order dishes we had for a recent anniversary party. Also, if we get get a big fish, we bring it here and they will prepare and cook it. I'm glad they survived the pandemic closure period.

I have been visiting Rice Bowl restaurant since 1990. This place has become a family staple. We have gathered here as young families. For every family life event, Birthdays, Graduations'. And just to re-connect with family. Dim-Sum is what I love about this place. My first time I wasn't sure. But years later, I don't see anything that's not worth trying. The ambiance that you and your family create here is something you'll always cherish and carry on to the next generations. Authentic old-world food. The staff always treat you like you are family. Always striving for your happiness as a customer, seems like fuel for their spirt. This restaurant has been tested by good times and bad times. Covid safe. And safely open during it. Rice Bowl has grown with the times. Now also do wedding venue. Hosting Large receptions. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Great Food, Great Staff. And reasonable prices. Need a good place to eat? Need a good place to take Family to re-connect and eat? I just might have a place for you! Check them out when you can.

As part of our efforts to support small businesses going through this COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to order some takeout dim sums from this restaurant. Our order included steamed pork ShuMai, shrimp dumpling with chives, chicken feet, sticky rice, and steamed bun with custard filling. The pork ShuMai was enormous. It was also fresh, firm, and full of flavors. Put a couple drops of chilli oil on them and they tasted delicious. They were definitely on par or better than any pork ShuMai one could find in the Bay Area. The shrimp dumpling with chives was also huge and good. The shrimp & chive filling was fresh and properly flavored. The smooth wrapper added the soft texture that enhanced each bite of the dumpling. The felt-off-the-bone chicken feet were fresh, tender, and well marinated (maybe a bit on the sweeter side). The sticky rice was cooked to perfection; not too soft and not too hard. We were glad that we ordered the custard steamed buns as our dessert. The bun was so soft. The custard was creamy and not overly sweet. A perfect ending for this dim sum meal. Keep it up!

Overall dim sum and dishes were delicious here and the prices were very affordable. I know some people might be concerned about the cleanliness of the restaurant especially its decor is pretty dated, I don't have a problem with that. Their dim sum choices are pretty standard - pork ribs, siu mai, har gow, etc. Their flavors were good and you can stuff your face without a high price tag. The one special thing you gotta get is their green tea mochi ball with black sesame filling. We ordered 6 balls to go for our flight back hahaha. Oooo and you heat them up in the toaster oven, bam! Their banquet dinner dishes were delicious too, especially the cod fish in orange color! Don't know why it's orange but it tasted good. Their lobster was good too, and their sea cucumber with mushrooms, roasted quail, cold cut dish, etc. everything was enjoyable! Service was very friendly but this might be biased because we have regulars at the table with us. We will always come back whenever we're in Sac!
